‘Little Star’s Childminding’

Hello, I'm Alice the Manager/Owner of little stars.

I would like to share with you abit about my background history on how i begun my adventure, Before becoming a childminder and builting my own business, I worked in a playgroup I was there since Feb 2019 before this I worked in a nursery working with children aged 3months to 4 years.I had worked there for 4 and a half years.

I have 2 children of my own who are 12 and 7 and attend school whilst i am working at home. My husband who is CRB checked for home based childminding as he is living with me, will be in and out the setting but never left with the children.

We also, have 2 loving family dogs one called Mac he is a cocker jack and one called Rolo who is a cockerpoo, they attend a doggy day care throughout the week and are not here more most of the day, but when they are, the children really enjoy their company as do the dogs in return :)

I have completed my level 4 in childcare and lots of further course I have also gained my qualification in Special Education Needs.

We are based on an APP called Blossom, which is where we upload pictures, write observations, track the children, take registers and more!

We provide each child with a diary within Blossom that is sent out after the child leaves the setting each day which will record Food,Nappies changes/tolieting and Naps  throughout the day and also what your child has been up to in a brief description plus photos or videos can be added.

we have progress development books which are for pictures of your child and their progress each month 🙂

We have a lovely outside area and our indoor space is a good size for the 12 children to play and learn in.

We offer to take the children out on outings when we can with parental permission. We feel doing this enhances their learning away from the setting. We go on the bus and also walk to the local country park within my estate, we attend the zoo, baby gym, role play rascals and other outdoors places.

I am a Manager to my 3 sisters and they have learnt so much from me and are a great asset to my team.
I have 4 assistants, this also includes a co-childminder that work's alongside me.
