Although I’m not your mother, I cared for you each day, I cuddled, read and sung to you, And watched you as you play. I see each new accomplishment, And helped you grow and learn, I understood your language, And listened to your concerns. You come to me for comfort, I kissed away your tears, You proudly showed me your work, Mine are the proudest cheers!! Now the day has come, and now we have to part, So it is with the happiest memories that I send you out the door, With great hope and expectations for what your future holds in store, But please remember your forever in my heart!
